After a car accident destroyed his eyesight, Jose Magallon felt like his life suddenly turned into a dark room. With no depth perception, he began to rely on a cane, and his family. As his life began to fall apart, Jose quickly sought help, and through a local housing program in his community, he had discovered iCanConnect. They provided him assistive technology that gave him the means to regain control of his life.

Because of iCanConnect, Jose has screen reader software installed on a new computer to enlarge e-mails and the internet. He has a 32” monitor for a nice field of view, and a Transformer portable electronic magnifier, giving him the ability to read and write despite being legally blind.
