Diagnosing Low Vision With Virtual Reality?

In this high-tech day and age, virtual reality is becoming popular for a wide variety of applications, including video games, social media, and sports. So it’s only natural for doctors to begin to see the usefulness of virtual reality, or “VR”,  in treating patients with low vision. Professor and ophthalmologist Dr. Felipe Medeiros, who helps patients with Glaucoma, believes virtual reality is a promising tool in diagnosing Glaucoma and other low vision diseases. Using advanced technology like virtual reality to detect Glaucoma in it’s early stages could potentially prevent vision loss from occurring before permanent damage is done.
